YOUR CARE TEAM

You are cared for here

We build your care team around your needs, goals, and the support that feels right for you. This can look like medication support, help planning or attending appointments, talk therapy, or a blend of other services—all working together to help you feel your best.

A whole team on your side

Your team is set up just for you and is built around what is going on in your life. Depending on your needs, your team can include the following:

Counselor

Everyone needs a good listener in their lives. Your therapist is dedicated to hearing and helping you work through whatever is on your mind.

Care manager

A egistered nurrse and resource specialist work together to connect and coordinate all the specialists on your team and provide additional support when needed.

Community partner

Our health workers provide in-person support, helping you to stay healthy at home, set up your equipment for Author Health virtual care, or coordinate with your other providers.

Psychiatrist

A Psychiatrist or Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner can help you figure out what’s going on so you can get the right care and medication that works for you when needed.

We add more care, not replace the help you already have.

We partner with doctors, insurance, and loved ones so everyone works together to support your goals. We coordinate with primary care and other providers to share updates when appropriate and help your care feel more connected, not more complicated.

Hear from your team

More about what to expect from Author Health.

"Author Health's commitment to meeting people where they are with more accessible, compassionate, and personal mental healthcare helps create a greater sense of hope, connection, and support for the people we serve."

Juan Gonzalez

Lead Certified Medical Assistant @ Author Health

“I enjoy having the opportunity to reconnect patients with care and support through Author Health services. It's rewarding to build relationships with patients and encourage them to stay engaged with their treatment. I also enjoy the engagement that management shows staff, even in a remote setting.“

Delaine Newsome

Patient Engagement Specialist @ Author Health

"Helping individuals get connected to the right services and supporting them through the process, I’ve seen how even small actions can reduce stress and make it easier for people to take the next step toward getting help. It is rewarding to know that my work can help someone feel heard, supported, and more confident in their ability to move forward with their mental health needs."

Terri Bechtel

Outreach Liaison @ Author Health

“I’ve seen really good results with the model and support behind it. It takes a team, especially with how sick our patients are, how many co-morbidities they have and social determinants of needs. I think I’m doing right by my patients -- it all works, and it all works together.”

Michael Burrell

Nurse Practitioner @ Author Health
