Poorwa Bhaskar

Poorwa is the Head of Market Growth & Operations at Author Health, where she works across teams to grow Author's reach and deepen its partnerships with payers and primary care providers.

Before joining Author, Poorwa spent several years at McKinsey & Company as an Engagement Manager, partnering with large health systems on strategy, organizational design, and operational improvement. She was also part of the Health & Life Sciences team at Gates Ventures, the private office of Bill Gates, where she developed research tools and educational platforms on the U.S. healthcare system and Alzheimer's disease, working alongside experts, policymakers, and philanthropists. Poorwa holds an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, with majors in Health Care Management and Operations, and a BA in Economics from Stanford University.

Poorwa joined Author as Chief of Staff before moving into her current role leading the company's market growth and operations function. She works closely with clinical, operational, and field teams to translate strategy into action, helping expand Author's presence into six new states and extend access to care to thousands of patients through a growing network of payer and primary care partnerships. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking and working through the daily New York Times crossword.
