Biography

Joy Young is a visionary HR executive with over 15 years of progressive leadership experience building and scaling People functions in high-growth, venture-backed environments. Throughout her career, she has advised CEOs, executive teams, and Boards of Directors on organizational design, talent strategy, compensation, and culture transformation. Before joining Author Health, Joy held senior leadership roles at innovative companies including Suzy, Slice, and AiCure, where she drove measurable gains in retention and engagement, and even served as the interim Chief People Officer for a 1,000+ person global workforce. She holds an MBA in Strategy and Leadership from Rutgers University and a Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs from the University of Colorado, Boulder.

As the Senior Vice President of People at Author Health, Joy serves as the senior-most People executive advising the CEO and leadership team. She focuses heavily on aligning people strategy with enterprise business goals and preparing the organization to scale. Her key initiatives at Author Health include owning the licensing and credentialing function for the clinical workforce as well as leading AI enablement initiatives across the People function to drive operational efficiency.

When she is not leading HR strategy and operations, Joy loves spending time with her Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Sabi. Outside of the office, she can often be found reading a good murder mystery, watching sports, or embarking on her latest culinary travel adventure.

"Joining our tech facilitator and outreach teams in the field and seeing their dedication firsthand reaffirmed exactly why I came to Author Health. It is an honor to support the exceptional people who deliver care and make a profound difference in our patients' lives."
